Bonobus
Public transport discounts - 1st September to 31st December 2022
The Valencian government has introduced a discount on multi-journey transport passes.
The discount brings the price of a Bonobus down to €6.00.
Free Transport Under 30 - 9th October - 31st December 2022
Free public transport (metro, trams, and buses) is available in Valencia for people under 30.
To benefit from this initiative, users have to request their free transport card online. The only prerequisite is a Spanish DNI or NIE as proof of age.
The Bonobus, as the name suggests, is a bus travel card. It is valid for 10 journeys on all EMT bus lines. Each trip allows unlimited transfers between buses for 1 hour since you first tap the card on the first bus you get on.
Remember that this pass is not valid for metro, tram, or any other bus service outside of EMT bus lines. EMT bus lines (the red buses) mainly connect different parts of Valencia’s city centre, and are for the most part in Zone A.
EMT bus lines do not include MetroBus services (the yellow buses, like line 150 to the airport), which connect Valencia city with the surrounding suburban and metropolitan areas.
You can get this pass at a kiosk, tobacco shop, or EMT Customer Service office. On top of the Bonobus itself, which costs €8.50, you will also need to purchase a hard plastic Mobilis card, which will cost €2.00.
You cannot load this pass on a cardboard card. For more details on how to get this pass, check the how to buy your ticket section in this article.
The pass is not personal, so it can be used by more than one person at a time. Just remember to tap it as many times as there are people with you.
This pass is ideal if you plan on mainly using the bus services in the city centre over all other public transport. However, we recommend other passes, like the SUMA 10, as they are cheaper and include all other forms of public transport.
