There are several ticket options available in Valencia. You can choose between single-use tickets, daily tickets, or 10-journey tickets, depending on which one better suits your needs.

The public transport tickets most similar to all-transport passes are the SUMA passes and the Valencia Tourist Card. They are valid across metro, tram, and bus networks (and the SUMA even for Cercanías trains).

Only for specific journeys (like from the Airport to the city and vice versa). Otherwise, it’s much more conveniente to get the SUMA passes.

In our opinion, the SUMA 10-journey tickets are you best option. They are valid across metro, tram, buses, and Renfe Cercanias (regional trains), and they can be used by more than one person.

A single metro ticket (for one zone) in Valencia costs €1.50. There are also other options, like 10-journey tickets, day passes, or even monthly passes (not recommended if you’re only on holiday here).

Valencia has quite a few public transport apps, and some allow you to get your tickets and passes online.
You can recharge your Bonobus on the EMT Valencia app and get single bus tickets on the EMTicket app. For SUMA passes, there is the RecargaSUMA app.

A Móbilis is a card where you can load your Valencia public transport passes and tickets. They come in plastic (€2.00) or cardboard (€1.00).

A SUMA card is a transport card where you can load SUMA passes (10-journeys, day tickets, monthly, etc). These passes are valid across metro, tram, EMT bus, Renfe Cercanias, and some MetroBus services.
You can also load your SUMA passes on a Móbilis card.

A Bonobus is a 10-journey EMT bus pass. This means that is is valid only for EMT buses (zones A and AB).

Yes, Valencia metro, trams, and buses are free for people under 30. To have free access to these networks you have to request a free transport card online. The only prerequisite is to have a Spanish DNI or NIE.

In terms of functionality, they are exactly the same. The only difference is that the plastic Móbilis (€2.00) will last longer than a card Móbilis (€1.00). Bonobus passes can only be loaded on a plastic Móbilis.

Yes, the tram and metro in Valencia are part of the same network, so they share the same tickets and passes.

You can get your metro tickets at an automatic machine at any metro stop, at kiosks, and at tobacco shops.

You can get your bus tickets directly on the bus, at EMT Customer Service offices, kiosks, and tobacco shops. If you are getting a SUMA pass (valid for buses and metro), you can get it also at a metro station.
