Tickets and opening hours

The square is public and, of course, it is open every day all day all year round. The only time access to it might be restricted is during some specific events, especially the opening and closing nights of the Fallas festival, when the square is extremely busy.

As for the individual venues and museums in the square, they have their own timetables. Here we have summarised them.

Town Hall

The entire building where the Town Hall resides is known as Casa Consistorial. This is the same building through which you can access the balcony that acts as a viewpoint over the square, and the entrance is always free. The opening hours for the Casa Consistorial are as follows

The building is closed on public and bank holidays.

The Town Hall building is located on the southwestern side of the Plaza del Ayuntamiento.

As for the Municipal History Museum within the same building, the usual hours are slightly different.

Municipal History Museum temporarily closed

The Museum is temporarily closed for a remodelling of the centre, therefore it is not possible to visit it. The re-opening dates have not been confirmed.

Palacio de las Comunicaciones (Correos)

The *Palacio de las Comunicaciones (*commonly known as Correos) or is open during the afternoon and the entrance is always free. Here are its opening hours.

Palacio de las Comunicaciones in Plaza del Ayuntamiento in Valencia
The Correos building (Palacio de las Comunicaciones) is located on the southeastern side of the square.

Remember that if, instead, you are interested in postal services, (sending mail or buying stamps), you can still do it in the remaining Post Office section of the historical building, which you can access in Calle Correos (to the side of the building). Here are its opening hours.

Tourist Office

As for the Tourist Office, its timetable depends on the season. Remember that not all Tourist Offices in Valencia have the same opening hours.
