The Valencia Tourist Card (VTC) is an all-inclusive discount and free-entry card.

The card guarantees free public transport across EMT buses, trams, and metro in all zones. MetroBus and Renfe services are not covered by the VTC.
The card also offers free admission to municipal museums and monuments and discounts up to 50% on 130 participating tourist services and establishments.

If you are willing to plan your days and visits ahead, it can be extremely convenient. If, on the other hand, you are planning to visit only a few sites, maybe this discount card is not for you.

The Valencia Tourist Card gives you free transport across metro, trams, and urban buses (EMT), as well as free entry to municipal museums in Valencia.

A lot of tourist sites and establishments (museums, attractions, restaurants, tours, activities, shops to name a few examples) offer discounts for VTC users. The discounts go anywhere from 10% to 50% of the normal price.

You can choose between three main duration options: 24h, 48h, or 72h.
Another option (although not currently available) is the 7-day VTC which doesn’t include public transport.

The Valencia Tourist Card comes for single users or for Groups. Each of these two types can be purchased in its 24h, 48h, or 72h version.
An additional option is the 7-day no-transport Valencia Tourist Card, although it is not currently available.

You can get a Valencia Tourist Card from a Valencia Tourist Office with an attendant, get it at a digital kiosk (an automated machine), or online through the official Visit Valencia website.

To use the Valencia Tourist Card on public transport simply tap it on the card readers at the metro entrance or on the bus, exactly like you would with a normal transport card.

To get your VTC discount of free entry at a tourist venue, just let the attendant know you have it and hand it to them, they will scan it in order to apply the discount.
