The Roissy - Charles de Gaulle Airport, shortened to CDG, is the main international airport in Paris. It has three terminals that interconnect thanks to lobbies and a light-rail network, the CDGVAL shuttle.
Of course, the airport is connected to the city via several means of transport. Here you can have a look at all the available options and choose the one that suits you.
Transfer services
A [private transfer]( https://www.getyourguide.com/paris-l16/paris-private-transfer-between-paris-cdg-airport-t370091/?partner_id=IG4VKS7&utm_medium=online_publisher&placement=content-top&cmp=Inline is certainly the quickest and most comfortable way to move between the airport and the city. You’ll only need to book in advance, and a private vehicle will be waiting for you outside the terminal, ready to take you to your accommodation.
If instead of going to the city you’re going to Disneyland, [you can book your transfer here]( https://www.getyourguide.com/paris-l16/paris-1-way-transfer-between-disneyland-and-cdg-airport-t319598/?partner_id=IG4VKS7&utm_medium=online_publisher&placement=content-top&cmp=Inline .
RER trains
If you prefer taking public transport, the RER network’s line B will take you from CDG Airport to the city centre in approximately half an hour. A single journey between Zone 5 (CDG Airport) and Zone 1 (Paris city centre) costs €11.40. You can get your ticket directly at the station. If you have a Paris Visite or Navigo card for zones 1-5, the journey is included.
Remember that the airport is rather large, so you might need to walk to the nearest RER station. There are two stations, called Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 1 (serving Terminals 1 and 3) and Aéroport Charles de Gaulle 2 TGV (serving all Terminals 2).
During the week, train frequency is on average 15 minutes. On weekends, the service might be slower.
Local buses
If you prefer to take the bus, there are several options to choose from, depending on the time of your arrival. Of course, buses are considerably slower than all other means of transport, taking more than 60 minutes to get to the city centre. Their frequency can fall anywhere between 15 and 35 minutes.
If you arrive during the day (between 5:30 am and 10:30 pm), buses 350 and 351 will be available. A single ticket on one of these buses costs €6.00, and you can get it from the driver directly. If you have a Paris Visite or Navigo card for zones 1-5, the journey is included.
If you arrive late at night, Noctilien buses 140 and 143 are your options. A single ride on the night buses cost €8.00. Similarly, you can get your ticket directly on board.
Roissybus
The Roissybus is a special service bus that connects the CDG Airport with Place Charles Garnier, by Place de l’Opéra. The journey is slightly shorter than with city buses, taking 60 minutes.
The cost of a single journey on the Roissybus is €13.70. You can get your ticket directly on board. If you have a Paris Visite or Navigo card for zones 1-5, the journey is included.
Taxis
Of course, you can also take a cab to reach whichever destination in the city. You’ll find the taxi ranks just outside the arrivals at Charles de Gaulle Airport. In Paris, the city-airport journeys have flat rates, so your journey will cost between €53.00 and €58.00 (depending on which bank of the Seine river pick-up or drop-off is).
