Valenbisi

The perfect public bike rental if you want to cycle around Valencia without spending too much or worrying about taking a bike with you everywhere you go.

Valenbisi system update - not all terminals are completely functional

The terminals at Valenbisi stations are currently undergoing a system update. This means that not all functionalities are available at all Valenbisi stations.

Issues are mostly limited to first-time uses, e.g. if you want to purchase a weekly pass in person you can only do so at an updated station. As for the annual pass, the first-time use with a Móbilis card can also only be done at an updated station.

Regardless, all passes can be purchased and used through the app, so we recommend you use that, at least for the time being.

Valenbisi is Valencia’s public bike rental service, and it lets its users take out bikes from any public bike terminal, cycle through the city, and then return them to any other available bike station.

This service is available any time of the day, any day of the year, and doesn’t require you to go to any info point to talk to an attendant. You can sign up on your own whenever you want and you will almost always find a bike at the first bike terminal you go to.

It is also much cheaper than any other private bike rental and it will allow you not to worry about taking a bike with you everywhere you go, as you normally return your bike every 30 minutes of use.

If, for example, you want to bike for a stretch of the Turia park, then take the tram to the beach and continue biking in the area, you won’t have to take the bike with you on the tram. You will simply secure the bike at a Valenbisi terminal near the tram station and get on the tram. Once arrived, you will get another bike at a public terminal by your destination.

Valenbisi is used by locals and tourists alike to cycle around Valencia’s city centre.

Valenbisi is an excellent service, but you have to keep in mind that their bikes are best fitted for short rides, as they are heavier than most regular bikes and thus slower. This means Valenbisi is ideal if you plan on using the bike occasionally, for short periods of time, and along with other means of transport in the city.

If you are interested in cycling for longer periods and you plan on using a bike as your main method of transport in Valencia, we recommend renting a bike from one of the many shops available in the city.

In the following table, you’ll find a summary of the main differences between the two Valenbisi subscription plans: the weekly and the annual membership. For more detailed information about each subscription plan or how to use the bikes, you can continue reading this article.

Our recommendations

If you are staying in Valencia for more than 14 days, it’s easier, more convenient, and more cost-effective to just get the annual subscription.
