How to reach Rome from the port of Civitavecchia

Intercity trains

It’s also possible to reach Rome from Civitavecchia by the Intercity or “Frecce” (high speed train). Due to their high prices, they’re only recommended if you want to reach the city quickly and the schedules of alternative services don’t match your itinerary.

Tickets

The price of a one-way Intercity trip varies, but is usually between €11.00 and €15.00, depending on the class you choose.

In contrast, the same trip on high-speed trains, known as “Frecce”, can cost between €12.00 and €17.00 (or even more).
