Tourists visiting San Nicolas church in Valencia

Tickets and opening hours

This is truly a hidden gem in Valencia, with the Church entrance not being very noticeable or visible from the street.

If you’re just walking around the city, you might even forget that it’s there, but we highly recommend you don’t skip this one. After all, it’s been called the Sistine Chapel of Spain for a reason.

The entrance from the street to the Church of San Nicolas in Valencia
The entrance to the Church is extremely understated, especially if compared to other important Churches in Spain, so make sure you don’t miss it.

The visit does not take excessively long. If you listen to the provided audio guide, you’ll need about 45 minutes. Of course, you can speed it up and skip some parts or stay longer to admire the frescoes.

Opening times

The Parish distinguishes between two types of visits, religious and cultural. During the hours of worship, the faithful come to pray and participate in the celebrations. Entrance to the Parish during these hours is free of charge and photography and filming are not permitted.

Timetables are subject to possible modifications due to liturgical celebrations. If you’re not sure the Church is open for visits, you can check the official agenda .
